King’s Walk

As a direct result of His Majesty’s historic opening of the final section of the King Charles III Coastal Path, Rotary in East Anglia are holding a co-ordinated walk of the Coastal Path around East Anglia on Sunday 16 August 2026.
The route will start in Sandringham Royal Park and finish at Harwich. We have already written to the King. All walkers will set off simultaneously and the Coastal Path will be divided up into 17 segments each containing easily manageable 3 mile chunks to encourage widespread participation.
To overcome the first hurdle, Sandringham walkers and organisers will be transported from the start point to the nearest point on the Coastal Path to avoid disturbing wildlife in the RSPB Bird Sanctuary. This historic achievement will be completed by all walkers, Rotarians and non-Rotarians alike, in daylight hours.

You can register for the walk, volunteer as a marshal or alternatively if you just wish to be a supporter encouraging the walkers (and hopefully donating to End Polio Now) please use the QR code to access the District Fundraising hub.
