On this page you will find Information Packs and posters for the competitions that have National finals and also for the Youth Speaks – a Debate competition that will have a regional final.
There is also a link to the “Resources for Rotarians” pages for each competition. Here clubs have access to the entry forms and other useful material.

Junior, Intermediate and Senior age groups. The theme for the year is “Friendship.” Entries should be one finished piece of 2-dimensional artwork based on the theme.
The competition aims to encourage young people to be creative, develop skills in using traditional or contemporary media, demonstrate interpretation of the topic and express personal ideas in any medium up to a maximum size of A2.
All entries must go through a Rotary Club and must be accompanied by the current entry form and a brief description of the relationship of the art work to the theme.
Clubs select one entry per age group to be submitted to the District contact by 30th March 2027. There are three age groups:
Senior 14 – 17 years
Junior Up to 10 years
Intermediate 11 – 13 years

One age category. Entrants must be between the ages of 11 & 17 years on 31st August 2027
The task is to prepare and serve, in two hours, a healthy two-course meal comprising a main course and dessert for two people costing up to £18.00.
Please advise the District contact of the intention to enter a candidate by 12th December 2026.
Entry forms, link below, must be completed. The deadline for entry forms to be received by the District contact is 1st February 2027

One age category. Open to young people up to the age of 17 on 31st August 2027. Solo amateur instrumentalists and solo vocalists.
The competition offers the experience of performing on a public stage, showcasing musical talent, and receiving impartial feedback from experienced adjudicators.
Club competitions can be held at clubs’ discretion. Please advise the District lead of competitions by 12th December 2026 and the deadline for entry forms to be received by the District contact is 1st February 2027.
District final is planned for February 2027 – details TBA. Regional (Cluster) Final 21st March 2027.
The national final will be held on Saturday, 24th April 2027 – venue to be advised in due course.

Junior, Intermediate and Senior age groups. Mobile devices or cameras may be used.
The competition theme is “Friendship.”
Entrants should produce one photograph based on the theme. The photo must be submitted via digital format and be at least 1500 pixels in size on the longest length
All entries must go through a sponsoring Rotary Club and must be accompanied by the current entry form and a brief sentence describing the relationship of the photograph to the theme.
Clubs select one entry per age group to be submitted to the District contact by 30th March 2027. District winning entries will be sent to Rotary GB&I.

This competition aims to encourage young people to be creative, and use their writing skills to write with imagination and creativity
Junior, Intermediate and Senior age groups.
The entry may be fiction or non-fiction, a story or poem, based on the theme “Friendship”.
Prose entries should be up to a maximum 550 words. Poetry entries should be up to a maximum of 40 lines.
All entries must go through a sponsoring Rotary Club and must be accompanied by the current entry form. Clubs select one entry per age group to be submitted to the District contact by 30th March 2027. Winning District entries will be sent to Rotary GB&I.

Teams of three – Debate format – Chairperson, Proposer, and Opposer
Taking part helps build self-confidence and develop public speaking skills, including how to keep an audience engaged.
Please advise the District Organiser of the intention to enter by 12th December 2026. The deadline for entry forms to be received by the District contact is 1st February 2027. Club competitions at clubs’ discretion. District final – TBA.
